The complete PokéVault guide

Everything you need to know to manage your Pokémon TCG collection like a pro.

Card Scanner

How to scan a card

Open the PokéVault app on your Android phone and go to the Scanner tab. Frame the card in the viewfinder, zoom in if needed, and wait for the automatic detection to identify the card. The result appears within seconds.

Tips for better results

  • Use good lighting, preferably natural and diffused.
  • Avoid reflections on the card (especially holos).
  • Place the card flat on a solid-colored background.
  • Make sure the entire card is visible in the frame.

Scan from your photo gallery

You can also scan a card from your photo gallery by tapping the image icon in the Scanner tab. Handy for identifying cards from existing photos.

Scan limits

The free plan offers 30 scans per day. With a Premium subscription, scans are unlimited.

Collection Management

Adding and removing cards

From any card page or set grid, click the +/- buttons to add or remove a card from your collection. You can also use the mobile app scanner to add cards quickly.

Variants: Normal, Reverse, Holo

PokéVault precisely manages the variants of each card. Unlike other tools competitors,we distinguish Normal, Reverse Holo, and Holo versions based on official set data. This lets you track exactly which versions you own.

Graded cards

You can record your graded cards with the grade and certification body: PCA, PSA, BGS, CGC, ACE, or CCC. The mobile scanner automatically detects grading labels.

Set view and filters

The My collection page displays your cards organized by set. Use the filters to show only owned, missing, duplicate, graded, or Master mode cards.

Binders and Master Goals

Creating a binder

From the Binders page, create a new binder by giving it a name and choosing a Pokémon icon. Each binder can contain cards from one or more sets.

Setting a Master goal

A Master goal lets you track the total completion of a set. Enable it on a binder to see your progress and missing cards, accounting for expected variants by rarity.

Viewing missing cards

With an active Master goal, missing cards are clearly identified. You can filter to show only missing cards and add them quickly to your collection.

Organizing cards in a binder

You can move cards already in your collection into a specific binder. Cards not in any binder remain in your general collection.

Master mode: variants by rarity

PokéVault's Master mode is unique: it precisely manages expected variants based on each card's rarity in the set. For example, a common card will have Normal and Reverse Holo variants, while an ultra-rare card may only exist in Holo. This precision lets you know exactly what you're missing.
